Promoting Historic Preservation, Education, and Patriotism

The Mogollon Chapter, NSDAR, strives to fulfill the objectives of the Daughters of the American Revolution in the areas of historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Each year, we choose service projects our chapter members can perform together or separately. We also attend patriotic events and encourage our members to perform community service.

With many service-oriented opportunities in DAR, our members can find meaningful activities to choose from that further these objectives. If you are interested in joining us or learning more about DAR membership, contact us for information on our meeting dates and location.

Historic preservation

The Mogollon Chapter, NSDAR, values our local history. A recent project was the participation in the 95th celebration of the Madonna of the Trail at the Springerville Cemetery. Once per year, members visit to clean up and decorate the site.

Education and Patriotism

The Mogollon Chapter, NSDAR, supports education and patriotism by sponsoring and producing the “1776 Project” play each year on September 17th, Constitution Day. This year we worked alongside the Payson Gila County Youth Achievement group and the drama students of Payson High School. Adult members of the community are also invited to participate. Each year the play centers on historical events in the founding of our country.
